If your just coming into the internet world, starting off with a free host wouldn't be a bad idea, you could use it to experiment with advertising, building etc.

I think whenever you think of business , you dont want anything free to use with with , because anything given for free is not reliable

I absolutely agree. Free hosting is terrible especially due to all those annoying ads that keep popping up. Hosting does not have to cost a lot now a days.

Why not, if you were doing a business from your home you wouldnt be buying a building right off you would be in your own home.Same thing.

I'm actually considering free hosting for some test-sites. It's like I keep them there until they earn enough for their keep and then move them to paid hosting. Hostingpuppy.com also offers FREE hosting at Free Web Hosting! - Index. The caveat? 2 posts at the forum per week for 1 free hosting package.

Since the free-hosted sites are housed in the same servers as the non-free sites, I anticipate no problem when I'll avail of their paid-hosting services.

It is not easy to find good free hosting and if you want start small business be careful with it. In other hand if you want test your site some free host is good solution. I have my site 2 years on free host (and I am very happy) but this is not business site.

Do you think someone who had a page on blogspot could make a bit of money using Adsense?

I have no idea how that would work regarding submitting to search engines, but if you had people coming to your site, would you be able to earn some money that way?

I raised the question here because you can have a blog or page on blogspot.com for free. ;)

Ah, sorry. Some free hostings allow your ads, some of them don't allow. Just read "Terms of use" or "FAQ" and find out what is your rights.
