Default Your web host experiences...

I thought it would be good to have a thread where users can post their webhost experiences to guide others.

I use asmallorange.com their uptime is good their customer services are good and they are cheap so im happy. I aint had much problems sometimes the FTP is dodgy but apart from that they are good.

Ok I get this confused sometimes as well, Godaddy is my hosting company and website tonight is where i build my site. Godaddy is hot, i can call them at anytime of the day or night and they are ready to help me with whatever. I have never had any complaints about Godaddy at all. Thats why they are number one when it comes to webhosting.

I have used Bravenet for about two years now and I like it, even their free hosting is pretty decent. I use to use that before I bought their services.

I've used bravenet for their free hosting, mostly I use geo when I want to put up a personal website for myself or friends, but with my real website I made a fatal error. My brother-in-law decided to get into the hosting business and he had some space to spare, so he hosted my site for free. No tech support and limited software, then one day he decided he was done. He shut it all down and I didn't find out about it until I went to log in to my account. When asked he said "I should have called you". I still have the domain name, but no website to go with it.

Thats the problem with free hosting i tell ya. If the owner decides he doesn't want to do it anymore then guess what, its over for you. They give no warning or heads up about anything. So that means that you lose all of your stuff, all of your hard work. Thats no fun so you should always pay for hosting if you ask me.

I can tell you, I won't make that mistake a second time. It does still burn that it was shut down with no warning, if I were a total stranger that would be one thing, but seriously wrong thing to do to family. A phone call would have been nice.

Hi,
I am running more then 200 sites. I start my first site with free hosting company but after two weeks when i was about to launch another site i felt that server of my hosting company get slow at peak times. Then i start my research work for best hosting and at the end i found "drupalvaluehosting.com" are providing fantastic services along with superb 24/7 customer support. I am using their services from last couple of months and my satisfaction level is very high.
