Default Regular vs Dedicated hosting packages

I have had a few sites in my time but have never opted for dedicated hosting. I it better than regular hosting?

Its not worth it unless you need alot more bandwidth/disk space then what you are getting with your regular hosting package.

Dedicated are for those who have huge sites like in GBs. For most of us its not necessary , a regular hosting had most for a common site

Dedicated servers are usually used for selling "space" rather than just using for a site. However a huge site will need a dedicated server due to massive bandwidth/disk space usage. If you not using more than what you are paying for then there would be no need for a dedicated server.

Actually the main reason for getting a dedicated server besides space is the fact your site will use large amounts of CPU cycles. This is by far the most valued resource in hosting. Bandwidth is easy but CPU cycles are expensive. You'll see large sites with a lot of CPU intensive work on dedicated servers. Anything with a lot of searching and big databases will need to be on a dedicated server. Most people actually get kicked off their shared hosting plan for taking up too much CPU time rather than for the bandwidth usage.

Yes , but Dedicated servers are too hard to manage , they are actually remote servers and you have to manage it siting miles away

As people said before, unless you require lots of space, bandwidth or CPU cycles, you don't need dedicated hosting.

In other words, unless you are owning a huge site, or a huge network of sites, you really have no need for dedicated hosting.

Plus, as has been stated before, you'll have to either manage your own server, which requires some tech skills, or pay for managed dedicated hosting, which costs extra money.

I use shared i dont have the need nor the ability to have a dedicated. I dont know how they work lol i know they are hard to maintain through. I will keep my site on shared for as long as i can then VPS then when i really have to ill go dedicated.
