Is there any one over here who is familiar with Awstats ?

I have problem . I was looking for my sites stats in it and saw that i got huge number of hits but google anylytics so very few hits , why is it so

Does awstats add my ow hits too in the final counter .?

Im not sure what that means :(. I use awstats all the time too its a exellent script the easiest to use i think. I think it adds all hits into the final count for hits. I aint certain through maby it would be a good idea to check out there web site?.

Maybe awstats and Google sue two different methods to tally eligible hits. I assum, because awstats isn't faced with the possibility of having to pay the owner of a website, their methos is more liberal than Google's.

I, too, use awstats and Google Analytics, and Google shows much less hits.

I think Google just doesn't catch all hits, since it relies on scripts, and for many reasons the scripts may fail, while awstats relies on your site's logs, that never fail.
