I must not have been paying attention at first, because I missed the part about your age. I had to do a double-take. Well, maybe your product is worth looking into!

That's a nice idea. Maybe have the woman standing at a beach with the waves. And put a rose by her feet. I think it'd look sweet.

I cast my vote in favor of removing the right click pop-up.

1) its annoying
2) is there really content that people are going to want to take off the site?
3) its worthless -- if someone really wants the stuff all they have to do is press the print screen button on their computer.

or go to view your source, which very obviously displays the image.

Yes. I agree. And, to tell you how he got the source (and how everybody else will), you go to the top of your browser(if you're using IE), View>Source. That doesn't really stop people, does it? :p

My images need to avoid stereotyping and avoid triggering an "Aunt Jemima" or "gospel" reaction in the viewer's mind. I am looking at my target audience by age, not by racial affinity.

The right click disable is a useless function that is passe. It s simple enough to download the page and deconstruct it. If anyone wants your pic they will get it. I can email it to you to prove the point. Also browsers like Firefox have add ons for web designers to basically do what they want. The code is unnecessary weight to your page. The illusion of safety is just that an illusion and more of an invite to tamper.

I like the header and the rose. You ask about wrapping the words around the picture. It would be dressier look pr do a heading alongside.

The problem with your page is it is landscaped flat across. You have to design for several things. One surfer attention. Landscaping loses the surfer's attention. You should have catagories and columns. The surfer scans more then reads that concept is very much part of web 2.0 So, your pages need to be shaped and not layed out. Your top heading is the perfect font but should be larger and the other headings should be the same font but smaller. Also don't get caught up in the font game. Stay basic not everyone has all those extra fonts.

Two you have my interest but why? You picture opens the door to be more personal. Go for it. Your text talks at the people. Talk with the people and let your personality shine. Write like you are having a conversation one on one.

Border one text area in a complete box to help break up the flow. Also don't give open promises. You say forums but be more specific explain their purpose and explain how and why they will like them. If you show you are interested in them, they will become interested in you. Good looks only go so far.

Right click disable function is useful with those who, unlike people here, have not learned about website development, them, and the like. These are the people that the function works for and I see no problem leaving it in place.

By shaped , I assume you mean having columns and nested elements. Is that what you mean? Where should I look for an example? I am very accustomed to simply laying things out...enlighten me.

Click on the links in my signature and go through the sites. The last one is a dummy site I just did. It is not active. You will see my homepages are shaped. Now I am not saying you should copy the styles Just get ideas. Hey steal if you want and it helps you. Personally, I think a page shaped to flow like your feel about your product is important. Go to a magazine and look at the layouts. Steal (Yes, I said steal) things you like that attract you. The important thing for someone new is to play with form and become comfortable with it. The pluses on the page have to compliment the ideals of the concept and of course your picture.

Use tables or layers or whatever you are comfortable with. Let your imagination run wild and then tone it down. Go to freetemplates. com and get ideas. And if you need help that's what we are here for. It we help each other succeed, we all get better.
