Default Graphics and Image Manipulation Programs

I can't live without my Paint Shop Pro. I use it for everything from making banners to making site sets. What piece of software do you have that you absolutely cannot do without?

Microsoft Office products are my best friend. I use Word and Frontpage a lot, and they are just so convenient.

not really a psp fan,
my copy of photoshop cs2 is pretty much indispensible...

also, i made the switch from office to openoffice,
and i must say,
some of the tools there are just a nice thing to have,
it really is so much more powerful than your normal microsoft suite... and it's free so i can install it on my linux machines, windows machines, or just a test computer and its not gonna cost me a bundle.

VRC (flight sim)
FS2004 (flight sim)

For manipulating images I find Corel Suite to be every bit as good as Adobe Photoshop and a hell of a lot cheaper. I just don't understand why they don't promote it more.

haven't touched corel since corel draw...

oh the good ol' days.

I did start using gimp on my ubuntu install,
and its not photoshop yet, but its definitely a very useful tool and would be more than adequate for most people.

There is another new one coming out, I am spacing on the name right now. But its an open source alternative that is supposed to compete with photoshop. But cs3 is supposed to have some really nice features that knock down a couple walls. Can't wait to get my hands on it personally.

Nice topic.

If Photoshop were suddenly no more, I would have to relegate myself to drooling and making random crayon marks on scrap paper. I'd be outta business in a big hurry.

Heather, I completely agree with you. Without Photoshop, I think you wouldn't be the only person out of business. I know quite a few people that depend solely on Photoshop. It's quite the program. ;)

I just downloaded open office. I have been looking for a program like Microsoft office that wasn't as expensive. This looks like it will do everything that is found on MS Office. This might be my new indispensable program.

I always use fireworks for my image editing needs although I do have a range of photo editing software products on my laptop.
