Default visitor tracking

I have finally given in and started using Google Analytics, and it does a good job of collecting visitor data. I used to use Statcounter which is also good but the free version is a little too limited.

I have also heard that sitemeter and icerocket do a pretty good job.

I would be interested in hearing which visitor trackers people us and if they have tried more than one, which was best?

Google Analytics does a good work but its too hard for a nive to understand , you have to be familiar with lots of terms to understand Analytics tracks

I have only been using it a few weeks but found the terms are pretty well explained and useful. The idea of Bounce, for example, s a good one to have. And it actually pushes you towards having specific navigation/marketing goals and strategies.

I think the best free tracking tool out there is Google Analytics however the amount of information that they provide can be somewhat overwhelming to beginners.

I can understanding GA being scary to newbies but they appear to do a lot of hand holding to guide you along. The optimum word association for beginners is "free"

Some people like to have that information broken down into the number of unique and return visitors, seeing IP addresses so that they know where in the world the visits are coming from, and also get information on where the person navigated to them from. The later is especially useful when figuring the best way to advertise your site.
