I am using a paid software for HTML editing and my friend needs a free one as he is not able to afford a paid one right now. Can you please recommend for me to get for him?

A lot of people I know use CoffeeCup as their html editor. It's pretty similar to Dreamweaver except for it's free. Just google 'coffee cup html editor' and you can find their page.

HTML Editor is one such software which you can use , but it does not have that much features , but its free

I don't think CC is anywhere close to DW. If your friend is going free for Editor it is best they use free templates for design to help with the quality of the look and feel.

CC might not be as good as DW but its does quiet good things

If you are looking for a free html editor then you should check out NVU. It is free of charge and it has most of the same functions as Dreamweaver.

What do you mean by html editing? what does that do or what do you mean when you say you need to edit your html?

An html editor is a tool which helps youo deign website , there are two kinds of html editor
1 - WYSIWYG editor like Macromedia Dreamweaver
2- Hand Code editor where you can only code the html but cant see its output.

Same functions as Dreamweaver? What does NVU stand for? What are the features that are like Dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver is so expensive that I would think it difficult to duplicate its most useful tools. Where can I find this NVU?
