Default Web 2.0 Design

Website design has changed since ite evolution , now a days many designers are getting into web 2.0 design , which is made up rounded corners , glossy images , huge fonts.

Do u think these kinds of design will sustain or somethinng else will takeover

I started with webdesign when it was just out of the text on the page level. Just think of this as a step in evolution. Someday it will be truly if you can think it, it will be.

What, exactly, are the differences between what has been going on in webdesign and web2.0? Should I be changing how I do things when making my sites?

I personally am a fan of the web 2.0 concepts, and think the designs right now are helpful to those concepts, but at the same time are starting to be overkill.

What i mean :

web 2.0 has alot of free software, sharing of ideas, free exchange and a community feeling to it. its also led by a bunch of great ajax technologies that are changing the way websites interact with users. That is all great.

on the other side, the designs are bright, colorful, and open and reflect the community, positive momentum of web 2.0.

but if i see one more bright orange glossy star i might consider just going to sleep and not waking up. :P

The difference between nornal design and web 2.0 is the use of flashy images and huge rounded corner tables

i think thats one definition of it, but i think it also needs to encompass like i said above the new ways websites are being used.

facebook, flickr, etc... are new ideas also, not just different design techniques.

Web 2.0 sites are more based on user generated content so there functioning is also quite diffrent than that of normal sites

Could somebody post a link to a web 2.0 website? I don't quite understand the difference, and because of that I'm not sure what my clients will be asking in the future. Thank you very much.

Of course, web2 won't last. Art and design evolves over time. In fact, there's already talk of web3, with emphasis on even simpler and cleaner designs. That's the way it is with being creative.
