I've seen a couple animated banners that had subtle motion which I thought we effective. But I've seen many more that were overdone.

I'll keep my eye out for new banners here. ;)

yes i must agree that animation catches eyes, takes attraction, but i prefer still pics...as banner work. jPG files.

I think that animated banners definitely catch your eye. Now if they're distracting then, well you know, I doubt anyone will click on them. The static ones have to have appealing colors in order to be effective. Since there are so many types of ads out there these days, I guess you just gotta experiment to see which ones are effective.

I will consult it over shortly with the head owner (boss man) and make sure that he is ok with it and also with the new admin i will be having help me out shortly, if we can not decide on a decision I will make a post concerning this asking for the communities opinion.

Me and my partner currently have it all sorted out we have been working almost nonstop on the things that need working on. I have been doing working on it during school as well, so I have been putting tons and tons of work into the board even tho you do not see it i have been. There are certain modifications that are being added to the board, and rules and so much more that are slowly going up, but you also have to remember that we all have our own life just like you do as well, some of us smaller then others but we still have one so, we have been doing work while we can, without ruining our social life's with friends, girlfriends as I am only 15 I have to worry about school and other such things. Advertisement is not at the bottom of my list but it is also not at the top of my list.

Yes, I am only 15 and I love it, I have spent the last 6 years on the web so i know quite abit of the web. But yes I have talked to Gareth my friend who is helping me with the forum and we are going to be implementing paid advertisement very shortly All that is left for me to do with it is get the software to run the advertisement up and going.
