Default Keywords importance

I feel that keywords is not more important than content of your site. I also got lots of feedback from other webmaster community that content is better and important than your keywords.

Also it is important factor for any websites.

i think that keywords placed throughout a site are important for a site to get ranked for that keyterm. link exchange, i think, is #1 to get a site ranked for a keyterm. With that said, there is much much more than just linking to have a good optimized site.

I believe META tags are very important. You need to make good meta tags.

Meta tags aren't as important as they used to be but they definitely should have some time put into them. If you really want to get ranked high do link exchange! Go find other bloggers or site owners and see if they want to exchange links with you and in no time your traffic should shoot up.

THe content should be written around the various keywords for which you are trying to rank well in the search engine results. It is of no use writing about Dubai if you have a travel website about Phuket.

Keywords get you hits from search engines, sure.

I wish more designers thought beyond the first 2 seconds though. Hits and users matters very little if they stay 10 seconds and see maybe part of one page.

It is time we started talking more about site penetration and loyalty--about whether the site was a "hit" for the person rather than just the person was a "hit" for the site. Did the person become a customer? Did they learn what you were trying to teach? Will they come back?

Also, some keywords get you a lot of hits but not the people you want, they need to be targeted and refined--fishing rather than trawling. It is far better to find the person who wants your product and tell them about it, than tell everyone in the world and hope for the best.

People are very resistent to untargetted messages and that includes keyword spam. Question for you all, how many of your users coming from search engines stay longer than a minute and visit more than one page?

Keyword spam is something certainly turns me off, but I've also learned to be careful of some words especially on home pages. For instance, for a site I had in Scotland which involved tourism, the word 'rhododendrun' happened to appear on the home page because of some extensive old gardens. There were more hits on that site because people were looking for the plant. It was great to get the hits but they were meaningless! LOL

Cool

One important thing one has to keep in mind the keywords that one is putting for his website.Proper keyword selection will always provide good search results for your website.Want to increase traffic, build credibility, improve your search engine rankings and get people talking about your business--at no cost? Then open up your word processor, and start writing.

By determining your best search keywords, writing an article that includes those keywords and getting it distributed online, you'll be putting yourself on the radar of people looking for what you provide.

marketraise, after you write an article about your business, where do you distribute this article?
