Adbrite provided page and site rankings using Alexa's figures. Now that Goolgle seems to be the last word n page ranking, Are the stats given out by Alexa really worth watching?

Alexa rankings are fun to look at as it seems to suggest the type of traffic that websites are getting. It is however not correct as there are not enough Alexa toolbar users to give a correct image of how websites are doing.

Alexa rankings just provide your tarffic numbers for your website. You can just informed your tarffic rank. It is usefull when you are using Adbrite.

Alexa is IMHO a total and utter waste of time as the sample size (number of partricipants) is way too small to be representative. People who go on and on about a page's Alexa rank just look, to my eyes, like they don't have a clue.

"Yes, Bob, Alexa says you are a web god. Yawn." ;)

I'm not down on it as a toy, something interesting to try, but the figures don't mean anything especially in terms of giving massive over-estimates of popularity.
