It may sound a bit ridiculous but the fact is that in many instances, organic search engine marketing produces a far better return on investment than pay-per-click campaigns. This study conducted and published by iProspect looks at the return on investment and tracking information provided by companies that outsource both their pay-per-click management and their organic search engine marketing.Findings from the study include:
a)35% of organizations that outsource their natural search engine optimization and also participate in pay per click advertising -- and can measure the ROI of each -- recognize a higher return from SEO
b)42% of search marketers who outsource BOTH the management of their SEO and the PPC campaigns, find that search engine optimization produces a higher ROI.
Unfortunately, the study also showed that 45% of marketers who participate in both natural search engine optimization and pay per click advertising cannot determine whether SEO or PPC provides a higher ROI.After all, everybody invests money where there is impact, but if the place is not determined then confusions start creeping in.

SEO is long term PPC is short term .If you created a new website, you will have to wait for few months to get good ranking through organic seo .Meanwhile you can opt for PPC so by the time you start to rank well ,you can discontinue PPC.

If you have a good knowledge on how PPC works, it could give you targeted traffic faster. SEO is always best for the long term.

Organic Optimization should be geared towards targeting high-traffic / costly keywords.
On the other hand PPC can be used to target very product/service specific keywords.
This will result in maximum ROI. :smiloe:

Link Building is the best method to opt for when you start with your site.Google adwords are phrases extracted directly from Google's database. So if you are optimizing for Google it will be a great option. If you are looking to extract keywords always opt for those that are high in search and low in competition. That will help you to rank higher.

I would start with AdWords to see which keywords convert better. After that when you know your best keywords you may start traditional SEO (link building, etc.).
At least you will know what result you get when you get high rankings...

Search engine optimization is a process to increase quality traffice on your site through search engines by applying these methods e,g link building, article postings, social book marking and press releases, while you have to pay for a single click in Pay per clicking method and it costs u alot.
