It depends on the site but I usually it's 1-3.

As per my knowledge you can use as much as you want. Its all depended on size of your website..
Normally 1 web-page have maximum 10 keywords. If you are selling number of things online on your 1 website than you'll have to target more than 10 keyword to rank and viewable for every products in SERPs.

for website as many as you want to target but for 1 page you should target around 3 keywords per page

This question really puzzled me.
I think you might have 2 big main keywords for your homepage while 1 keyword for every other pages.
