No they aren’t totally useless as they bring enough amount of traffic to your site and nothing much apart from that.

No follow links are useless. They are of no use.

Nofollow links are entirely useful if they're in a place where people will see them and click on them. They're won't pass on link juice from the site their on however if your site is good, the traffic that clicks on these nofollow links will stick around, give you better time on site, might mention you among social book marking sites and blogs.. they're still worth using - they just have to be used with a slightly different intent and can still indirectly result in your site having higher rankings. (a nofollow from slashdot is still going to get you millions of visitors which WILL have an affect on your rankings)

No-follow links are some what useful as they can still generate fare amount of traffic but't they ain't too helpful. Therefore they are called as No-follow.

Noffolo don't count fort PR (but who cares about that) they help in rankings

Plus getting noffolo and doffolow links makes the link building look very natural ...

It seems logical to me that the search engines will use whatever information they find in whatever way they wish so nofollow like 301 redirects will pass whatever juice etc. that the engines think they should. Having said that its probably safe to assume that most nofollows pass no juice when link building judge these links on traffic potential only and you won't go far wrong.

Hi,
As suggested;your answer is in your question itself.
They are of no use!
But if you get a no follow link for your website with an article directory then it may be useful!
Google considers no follow links from article directory.
Google showing one no follow link to my webmaster account as a back-link though it is no follow article link from articlebase.com
Thanks

In my view link is link and it has its own benefits. But no-follow backlink has less SEO significance than do-follow link
