How many of you use AJAX on your pages? I really love the things you can do with it and it sets your site apart. Whether it's a star rating system or a mailto form that doesn't refresh the page, it's just an extra touch that makes the site that much better.
Ajax is is Javascript and XML. It makes a lot of the dynamic content you see on the web like the star rating systems. It's great because it can update pages without ever have to refresh them.
AJAX is going to change the future of websites and how we make them , most sites now are going to be ajaxed , as we can see most mail systems like gmail and windows live mail and even Yahoo is turning to Ajax
Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. Nothing new, Google simply thought out a novel way to combine the two. I've visited some Ajax sites to get a feel and I'm awed. Here's a sample site used for searching domains:
Some contend that they have been doing Ajax-type technology even before Google popularized it but nobody named it as such. It's sort of like a finders-keepers thing.
However, nobody owns Ajax since it is only a combination of Javascript and XML, both free to use.
Yes , Google might have made most of its apps on AJAX , but it really doesnot own it , but i wouls say , google did really help to increase the popularity of Ajax and Beta versions.
I dont have a clue how AJAX works but i know its good. I only encounter it on forums and its exellent the things it does. I love how the moderation side of things has improved with ajax its far easier to change things now etc.
