There must be a b'zillion ppc engines online and, if I remember correctly, even Yahoo and Google had ppc listing options at one time and may still.
Are ppc's still a good option for the average WM or should they be avoided like the plague? P.S. I placed this thread here having forgotten about the PPC thread in another area of the board...ooooops. :p Last edited by SageMother : 03-17-2007 at 07:42 PM. |

If you have the money and can afford it they are usually a great option. The traffic is generally quality and you get the right type of people to your site. If you think it's worth the money PPC is possibly one of the best ways to get traffic.

I'd recommend Adwords (being a publisher myself) as they seem pretty fair and people do click on those ads. However, as my business is an advertiser rather than a merchant, I'm not as familiar with the other side of it.

What type of click fraud are you addressing? The pay- to click places only promise clicks, not sure fire customers. Are there places that do other things that are big click no-no's?

It mentions site owners clicking their own links, clicks generated by robots and other clicks that don't result from genuine interest in the ads.
