Most of the tips on search engines address google and sometimes google but I hear very little about MSN. It feels as if the freelancer and the small businesses ignore it eithre because it is just too corporate or simply irrelevant.
Are there any tricks or tips for getting the prime spots on MSN or is it just too full of big corporations to be worth the effort? Last edited by SageMother : 03-04-2007 at 11:49 AM. |

Just about any tips would be welcome. I always had the impression that MSN was a ppc but I have never tried to use it for my sites.

I get decent traffic from MSN and I have good rankings in their SERPS. What I feel is important for good ranking with MSN is good internal navigation, use of meta tags and good keyword density of the content.

I dont agree at all that it went flop. I am sorry but if you see that stats from the search engine market then their market share is increasing every quarter and the amount of traffic that MSN is bringing me is increasing as well.

basically, msn looks at title tags. put your keyterms that you want to rank for on them. then also put the keyterms throughout the page as well. also in your description. a couple links don't hurt as well. if you do this, you should get good results.
