Default Swag

I make small polymer clay items as a hobby and have decided to make a few refrigerator magnets. I can either transfer the words onto the clay or sampt them in, but they can be given as freebies and can work well as promotional tools for almost no money at all, since I have the clay anyway.

Along those lines, you can also use Cafepress or Spreadshirt to create promotional totes, buttons, hoodies, and mousepads as promotional items

And you will mail them out? That would be my only problem with promotional items (even if you make them). The cost of mailing them. If they're picked up in a shop, that's another thing.

I will probably mail them with a brochure that talks about the products, with a coupon for a purchase. Using a ligquid polymer clay or an ultralight won't really cost more than a letter and...can we say tax deduction / business expense?

That's true. I've done things like that but not in a while. Hey, if you can make things yourself, why not?

If it is going to cost anything to send, just be sure of who you are sending them to. Try to target a certain group, not just using some random maling list.

You are so right! This is why I would probably have to use information from a guest book, or from order forms. It is so difficult coming up with ideas that have no glitches built in!
