Blogging is one of the finest way to spread word about your product , you can blog yourself or just hire someone to blog , the power of blog is that you can contact with your customers directly.

Blogging is just like any method of marketng, it works for appropriate products when done well. In many cases I think people put more time into it than it is worth. Either ther blog doesn't get traffic, or the traffic doesn't convert. In many cases a regularly updates and functional static website is a better option.
Getting traffic on a blog is difficult work! I've done a few for people and between the writing (keeping it up), the linking, the networking and the placement of ads ...it's a full time job for a while.
One of the main problems now a days with blogs is that almost every one has one. It becomes so much harder to get the traffic as before. I guess many people have started blogging due to the free blogger accounts.
Well, yes, blogs are a great tool. If you're a writer then the content isn't even all that hard (just time consuming) to generate. But it's tough work garnering traffic. You can't just put up a blog and expect to see traffic no matter how good your writing or your product.

Yes it is very easy for writer but when we need tarffic, it is very hard to garnering traffic because you must know some basic thing about marketing and also SEO.
Everyone who wants to make money on a blog definitely goes through a learning curve to understand the marketing techniques. That's a make or break it for many who just don't want to bother and they end up with a service like blogger party or one of those where it's done for you.
