Default Water in the gas?

They have discovered water in the gas at several Shell stations here in Georgia. Doesn't surprise me.

That is horrible! Especially considering how high gas prices are.

Yeah that is horrible, doesn't that mess up your car? If you were able to water your gas up then I'm sure people would have been doing it along time ago right?

We've had that happen here in the Northeast a time or two ...usually wasn't intentional but an underground leak that was the culprit.

NOw that we are going through this inflation of gas prices, I wouldn't doubt that there is water in the gas. Which in turn would turn this into price gauging wouldn't it. I can see if they put water in the gas and then left the prices the same. Ha then I could understand.

Well, there are laws against that so if you think that's what is happening, report the station! I would if I thought it was intentional.

Yes, this could REALLY mess up your engine. Get enough water in there and it won't run-just a little and it will be knocking and pinging and running like crap each time a pocket of water goes through.

I would be surprised if this is the only place this is happening. They were just the ones that got caught.

Here in Israel every fifth gas station adds water to the gas.

I don't really care because I use my dad's leased car, which has free gas and will be replaced every 3 years, but generally, the situation is terrible for anybody who owns a car.

At least the gas here isn't as expansive as it is in Europe or USA.
