Default How did you get started?

Did you choose freelancing or did freelancing choose you?

I know a few people that are writing: ghostwriting, articles for webpages, blogging, etc. I even know one guy that has opened his own graphic design place.

So, when you got started, was it your intention to freelance, or did you just happen into it?

I used to just design art for fun, and found a site called talkfreelance through a friend since then I took up freelance coding, design and webmastering (if that is a word)!
I dont actively freelance for a living but it is a great way to earn money once in a while.

I do freelance writing as a part time job. I am a high school student and I am on the internet a lot, so I thought I might as well be making money on the side.

I happened into it. I do graphic design and sales writing for my 'day' job, which I am burnt out on. I needed something to make the work interesting again. Freelancing gives me the opportunity to meet and work with new people and concepts.

Freelance chose me, I didn't have a car to get back and forth to work as well as take my sone to day care, so I had to do something and I did. I did freelance. I like it better. All I have to do is wake up and go downstairs and work. Can't get any better than that.

Default It chose me

I just wish "it" would bring in some income! I've been freelancing for years and I did work at for my bread and butter for a long time. I still write constantly; I just don't query as much as I used to for magazine submissions. Too much competition and since I have a full time day job, I don't have the "heart" to put in it as I would not working outside the house.
