If you won $1,000,000 in a lottery or something, what would you do with it?

My husband and I have had many discussions about what we would do with our $1M. First, we'd give some to God, IF we could find a church that would take it knowing it came from a lottery. ;) Then, we'd pay off bills. After we did that, we'd help family and friends that were struggling. If there were anything left, we'd travel for a while. The kids can put themselves through college if they want to go. LOL

I would do so many thing with my money, I had just talked about this in a nother forum I do believe. I would take care of all my family members and I would make sure that my family is secure for the next generation to come.

I would go to my investment adviser at the bank and find a way how I could live of the interest whilst not touching the capital.

My pastor made a comment about this guy in WV, I think, that won $314mil. He told us about how the man is now divorced, his daughter got hooked on drugs and died from an overdose, he's been in and out of jail. I guess he went off the deep end with the money, instead of doing something smart with it, like helping others or putting it away to live on the interest. I can understand wanting to enjoy some of it, particularly if you've never had two dimes to rub together, but I think it's a shame what it really does to people. He said he wished he'd never won the money.
