Last week, I came across with a website that loads a virus(a Trojan-like virus/script- whatever you call it!), and all of the contents of my "All Programs" menu in my Windows XP "Start" menu were all gone. This makes me not sleeping for about 24 hours or so. After a few days, I have decided to install Linux Ubuntu on my machine. This is to avoid viruses and have a peace of mind when I go to sleep.

Well, I am now using Linux Ubuntu Studio theme, and I was enjoying its features, with all the instant messengers installed on it, including Skype, AIM, googletalk, Yahoo Messenger, and a lot more. I have also a Firefox browser that can play flash on it. I can listen to my music. Everything is fine. Thanks for the help of my friends in Ubuntu Forums and xMoDx.

Hmm.. I was using Ubuntu sometime ago.
Now I am trying Solaris OS ..it seems good.
Just make sure you keep your HDD on Dual Boot with XP/Vista and Linux for better Computing.

I am on Triple boot now :P

For ubuntu Ubuntu Forums is the best support. Well you experienced it yourself

Yes, you could try Linux, especially, Ubuntu... Ubuntu is more akin to windows in terms of X-Window operations. And another thing is, Linux file system don't allow viruses to intrude into your system. If you need some tweaks, tips on optimizing your Linux Ubuntu system, visit my friend's website, netstat -an | grep -i listen... I have tested all of his Linux system optimization using that site.
