Post What are the ways of Link Building?
What's the most effective way that you use to promote your site?

I do Article submission, Participate in Forums, Social Bookmarking, regardless of this what you opt as most prominent and exclusive ones. Please don’t talk about directories here; I want to know the best answers from you guys.

I think the best and most effective ways to build links is to follow a diverse strategy over a long period of time. You don't want to put all of your eggs (links) in one basket. I participate on forums, do social bookmarking for deep links, submit to directories, submit to RSS directories, do some blog commenting, send out press releases, participate in online groups, etc. Do a little every week across a spectrum of methods and your site will increase in PR and in the SERPs.

* forum posting (through signature)
* press release submission
* Social bookmarking in digg and deals.

If you are exchange you link with theme related and good PR websites then you can get many benefits due to this.

May I also add that paying ads for Google and Yahoo will also do good for your business but it is only good if you got the budget for it.
