Default What books would you recommend for beggining to learn css and javascript?

books would you recommend for beggining to learn css and javascript? I have heard good things and bad about the bible and I tried the Javascript and Dhtml cookbook but it was difficult to read does anyone have suggestions?

Book - javascript: The Definitive Guide (5th Edition) by David Flanagan.

As you are a beginner I would suggest you to follow books for "dummies". I think you'll learn basic better and proceed for other stages.

This isn't explicitly a web design book, but The Design of Everyday Things is a good book for learning about good and bad design.

If you want to learn CSS and Java script, you can follow the w3schools.com site.It got a very good tutorial for this.They are also in very easy steps for the new beginners.
