Thumbs up Wordpress VS Joomla

Have you heard about these to content management system (CMS)? Wordpress and Joomla. Some one ask me which is the best and more often used?

Actually there are so many content management system. The 3 common for me are Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal. For me, I used mostly Wordpress for it has a great features, many plugins and widgets available online and mostly it is very easy and convenient to used. I tried to used Joomla but it's hard for me to used it despite I have a knowledge on how to install it, use it and customize it.

On your opinion, which do you think is the best? :-c

Wordpress all the way because it is so much easier to navigate and edit the files. The code for wordpress is pretty easy to understand if you give it a try

Hmmm as a complete CMS i would go for Wordpress.
But you need to get thorough with CSS and HTML/XML/XHTML to navigate around.

If you want easy to do less customization better go for Joomla.
Still thumbs up for Wordpress.

You are correct that Wordpress, Joomla, and Drupal seems to be the most widely used. Of the three Wordpress is the easiest, but it tends to look like a blog. Joomla is good for site that are website-style instead of blog-style. But you are right, it does have a steeper learning curve. Drupal has the steepest learning curve of the three, but it has this concept of taxonomy.

I have worked with all three. I like Joomla the best overall.

he goal of Wordpress is intended to be lean, that is to take full advantage of flexibility and reduce code bloat. Wordpress plugins suggest custom features, thus allowing every user to modify its web site to the particular needs.

Personally I only used Joomla for around about 20 minutes and within that time, I got so lost, but that's understandable as it happends to a lot of people if not all(I wasn't as lost when I first started using wordpress).

If I have to use ANY cms it would have to be wordpress hands down. Not only does it have a ton of pre made themes, truck loads of plug ins, an active (support) community and so on. I just plain old like it, I like the control panel, and I like how easy it is to change a theme, install a plug in etc.
