XHTML is a more advanced version of HTML based on the programming language XML.
People are saying HTML is a dying language. Would you still learn HTML if you had a choice? (and 'save' it?) Or go on to learn XHTML?

And you say shortcuts and errors as in the code itself. Is that something you would have to figure out after learning how to do it?

xHTML is a newer version of HTML based on XML codes. This was brought into picture to be more W3C compliant .

Are you still confused? Maybe it would help if you told us where you are learning HTML? Learning at the right place will make all the difference in the world because from what I understand most are teaching XHTML, but calling it HTML to keep it simple.

You can take a free email tutorial here

HTML is older version and xHTML is a newer one based on XML , since in xml you have to maintain the disciple while coding , you cannot leave your tags open and there are many new issues with xml so xHTML was made on the base of XML so that sites can be more and more W3C compliant .
Thanks
I don't know also that what is different between HTML or XHTML

the difference between HTML and XHTML is that HTML uses tables like
Quote:
<table><tr></td>THIS IS A TABLE</td></tr></table>
where XHTML uses "div" tags to and css to create tables like so
Quote:
<div id="table">THIS IS A TABLE</div>
, when using a "div" tag like that you would have to create a css notation called "#table" the "#" signifiing that there might be other "div" tags located inside to set the position of text. basically overall XHTML is designed to keep code cleaner, and not have as many tags and such, and to make all sites more W3C compliant, take IE for example it has trouble reading the html "table" tags so HTML has no gone out of style just like ipods are going out of style. Its all just a change in setup, nothing much is different it all acts and does the same just looks different.
