I think there is a VB plugin that allows you to place a banner advertisement at the top of your forum, I cant remember the name, if you do a google search for 'VB plugin banner ad' I tihnk it brings it up.
This would be a great addition and allows you to earn money from the forum, hopefully being put back into the forum of course!
I'd seen banners all over the other forums I frequent, but wasn't sure how that all worked out. I thought you had to solicit for them, like you do with regular advertising. Interesting. I've learned something new today, so I can mark that off my to do list.
Yeah thats a good idea banners are still i think the best way to make money as they are the only form of advertising people tollerate. I would never use pop ups etc or any of the daft new methods i only think banners work..
ofcourse paid advertisement would have worked lot for admin, that makes money too. and even the top bar of the page would have looked better. but hey dont forget me....contact me for making of banners. i would love to create banners...that might make some sum for me too. hehe.
