I see that there is no forum for selling advertising, or have I just missed it? It isn't really a link sale. Can we get a section added if possible?

a link sell would be advertising. as you are offering a banner placement which is also a link.

Links sales is more associated with PR links rather than banner advertisement. But if that's where you want me to post it.

The thing is most website companies who wish to advertise have their own advertisement page, with prices, locations on the site etc.

If they do not, then all they have to do is go to somewhere like adbrite or any other PPC site that can offer a service like this, there is HUGE competition for this market and a forum i don't believe would really facilitate.

Also you will be prone to HEAVY spam.. This can become a pain! IMHO its a nice idea but its just not worth it!
