what does the voting system from the google toolbar do?

I have never used it , but i heard that it is used to vote website you visit any the data is sent to google's server

I think that it could play a very small role of importance in how high a site will end up in the SERPS. Please note that I stated a very small role. It could give Google an insight of how users are ranking the quality of certain sites.

Well I never used that system even don't have google Toolbar for Opera. But I am sure it would be great tool for search engines.

just gives google data from the sites. i don't know if it helps or takes away rankings because of this? i dought it.

This question has been asked a few times. Fact is we really don't know. I've heard that these votes are being recorded but are not being used for anything, which makes me wonder.
