Google OS
First, it was simply a search engine, then file storage, and now office suites. There's also talk of a Google image editing software. Will Google become an internet OS of some sort? Will it work?

It will take long time for googleto become fully OS , becuase if google is trying make and Online OS then i want to tell that there are still people who use dial up so for them online os means nothing , still google spreadsheet and docs are not that much used as Open office , so its long way before google OS is formed

Office suites? I wasn't aware they had those available. Do you have any experience with them? I would be very interested to hear about them as I am going to need something more sophisticated to keep track of things and produce documents.

I wasn't aware that Google had gotten into office suites, either. I had heard someplace that they were getting into some other things, but that wasn't one of them. I don't know that it would work, though. There are just too many variables for it to work, aren't there?

Google already has image editing software which is part of their photo album tools. I think that it is great that Google provides all these extra services free of charge.

No way. Even with high Bandwidth Connections, internet is still slow compared to direct access to your hard drive/Processor.
So no, Google will not become an online OS, because it will not be able to create tools as powerful as Microsoft Office, simply because it will require way too much CPU cycles.

I guess it would be the ultimate aim of a internet buisness. They have the potential to do it and i think they would do it well. I often lose track of what google is up to but for me adsense has hurt their reputation cause its all about money and sucess - no interest in helping the little guys which is contrary to what i thought google stood for.
