Google 950 Penalty - Freelance Forum

Does anyone know anything about this 950 penalty? I have read a lot and cannot get a consistent answer as to what may cause this.

Has anyone had a site suffer from this penalty? If so, what can be done to correct it?

It's quite simple really. Google gives webmasters a chance. Sites start out with an idea and a hardworking webmaster. But somewhere along the way, the content ends up being a remash of all the content that has gone before.

Ads are replaced with irrelevant text ads. So a Resource Page is added,and a Directory, and soon, the site is just a replica of all the other linked websites sites. With fewer links and only ads from different resources the site becomes a trash. Now Google couldn't tell that it is a Trash website.So they give them a penalty.

I think its more like making money for Google. The algorithm change for Adwords made them to change the search engine algorithm. This messead all the thinks and covering all this, they created this Penalty to websites.

Am I clear?

Ive never heard of a Google 950 penalty. Seems like something I wouldn't though.

Never heard of it either. Is it the same as the sandbox?

I have heard of it.. It has a lot to do with content and linking. Google realises that people are working hard to get their sites to the top of searches on particular keywords, i am yet to hear what the protocols are for google on this topic but because its not actually an illegal operation in googles eyes, it is frowned upon!

Things such as content not being changed after a year because they are getting high search values will affect it, linking in other relative sites who ARE getting high ranks etc. The normal SEO operations and some more.

What google will do is lower your site namely to the 950th position on the search however its not always 950 obviously, its just a lot lower than it was previously!

Its a good idea as it creates a fair playing field for everyone, rather than people who spend thousands on SEO input and so on!

Anyway as far as i can tell thats what it is, hope it helps! So be careful!
