Default Google Spreadsheets

Hi all forum members,

Is anyone on this board using the free Google spreadsheets and documents program. I am a bit hesitant giving them access to information stored on them.

Google spread sheets are great for sharing information, but if you are just using it yourself MSexcell is better. --and you can then work on your sheets offline.

That is a good point that you made about working offline with MS. Can you download Google spreadsheets and open them with a different software like MS?

You are right. I wouldn't want the information to fall into the hands of the government or the IRS.

I'm not concerned about Google sharing info with the IRS (!) but the confidentiality is a concern. I prefer using Open Office, it is also free and local to my PC.

There are some other open source programs but I doubt that any will be better then open office. You can always download a pirated version if you don't mind going down that road.
