Other than password protecting that part of the site i couldnt suggest anything. I dont know what you can do. Just make the password good! and if possible remove that option (you could delete your admin index.php page when you are not using it etc).
Thats all you can do it make it really good, there isn't any software out there that is going to do anything special to keep your database strictly confidential unless you work for the CIA or something like that.
Unless you are talking about firewall then no. Firewall is for your computer and if you are working or hosting a site through windows then maybe firewall can play a part in going beyond the password but I haven't seen anything. Doesn't mean that there isn't anything out there.
